Ford has revealed an all-new version of the States' bestselling vehicle, the F-150 pick-up – and in a world first, the US favourite boasts an all-aluminium body and lightweight, high-strength steel frame. The new Ford F-150 is more than 300kg lighter than the model it replaces and, thanks to four engine choices including an all-new downsized 2.7-litre EcoBoost turbo, is much more fuel efficient too. Given that Ford sold a staggering 763,402 F-150s in 2013 alone, these changes will have a very positive effect in terms of the new model's environmental impact.

A team of CAR reader reporters joined us at the international press day of the London motor show earlier this week – and you can now rate their reports live on CAR Online. You might be familiar with their user names: asp, carcare, jacomoseven and Sandy T won an exclusive competition at CAR Online to win golden tickets to media day, and they rubbed shoulders with the world's media as cars like the Lotus Evora, Honda OSM and Ford Focus RS were unveiled.
A FORMER SPORTS CAR chief has vowed to fight his removal from the board of the company his grandfather founded. Charles Morgan said he was appealing against the decision by Morgan Motor Company, which said he would no longer be a part of the managing team or the board of directors at Morgan Technologies, a subsidiary of the main company. Earlier this year, Mr Morgan stepped down as the Worcestershire-based company's managing director and became an ambassador for the brand started by his grandfather Henry Morgan in 1910.
